This study involves the preparation of mix samples of bitumen hot mix and bitumen emulsion mix (cold mix) by adopting the Marshall Method procedure. The method utilizes the evaluation of penetration and softening temperature of bitumen 80/100 grade as a standard. The investigation is carried out with relative temperature to observe the effect of temperature on the properties of samples for both cold mix and hot mix. In this study, one set of each mix is cast out of one laboratory in Thimphu and another set in a college laboratory (Phuentsholing). One set of data is obtained from the different volumetric properties of the mix sample produced at different places and at the same lab where cold and hot mix are done, based on the volumetric properties: Bulk density, air voids in compacted mix (VFA), and voids filled with bitumen (VFB) as well as Marshall stability and flow.
